What is Exosome?
The Exosome solution is made from culture fluids containing mesenchymal stem cells that are derived from a mother’s umbilical cord. These stem cells are versatile cells with extraordinary abilities to repair and regenerate tissues.
How is Exosome-FUE performed?
Grafts containing on average 1 to 3 hair follicles are extracted one by one using the FUE Method (Follicular Unit Excision) under local anaesthesia. The extraction is performed using a motorized micro-punch with punch sizes varying between 0,6 to 1,0 mm.
Following the extraction, the operator then makes incisions using a special sapphire blade taking into account the growth angle of the hairs, the desired density and natural appearance.
During the opening of the incisions, the extracted grafts are maintained within the Exosome solution which nourishes and repairs the individual hair cells until they are ready to be re-implanted into the target area.
What are the benefits of using the Exosome solution in hair transplantation?
In classical hair transplantation methods, some of the grafts end up losing their vitality and strength until the implantation stage. This inevitable waiting phase results in the loss of precious grafts. When a hair transplant is performed using the Exosome solution, the extracted grafts maintain their vitality for much longer, the hair cells are nourished and repaired, and the overall success of the procedure is maximized.
